Sun Chemical sells prime Orpington site for redevelopment

March 2017

Sun Chemical, advised by Avison Young, has sold a redevelopment site in Orpington, Kent to Goya Developments.

The six-acre (2.42 hectare) site, located on the corner of Cray Avenue and Cray Valley Road, will be handed over to Goya Developments following demolition and site clearance. The purchaser is currently considering all redevelopment options including a mixed-use scheme of up to 160,000 sq ft (14,864 sq m), which could include car showrooms, industrial, trade counter and other uses.

Mark Holliday, Avison Young’s Principal, Capital Markets, comments: “This is a prime redevelopment site for which we had a lot of interest. The price achieved reflects the potential of the site for commercial use.”

Goya Developments was unrepresented.
