About Derick

As Principal and head of northern offices for property management and a member of the division’s Strategy Executive, Derick takes overall responsibility for 25 staff and around 100 properties (plus a number of properties for portfolio clients) as well as supporting the governance and growth of the division. Avison Young also has a dedicated team undertaking service charge consultancy on behalf of landlords and occupiers.

His team - with expertise in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle - undertake property and asset management of offices, retail, industrial and mixed-use schemes on behalf of corporate clients, property companies, public sector bodies and high net-worth individuals. Clients include Blackstone, Ares and the Reuben Brothers.

Derick is known for his extensive and well-rounded expertise, built on a foundation in retail agency and a strong commitment to a holistic approach to property management. His straightforward, results-driven style and focus on delivering exceptional outcomes have earned him the trust of clients across Avison Young.

His experience in dealing with the early stages of large complex schemes including void property management, cost mitigation plans, meanwhile uses, setting up service charge regimes and long term management strategies has been valuable for a number of clients.
