We are delighted to announce the recent launch of the Holiday Inn Express in Bridgwater. The 138 bedroom hotel was developed by Zeal Hotels supported by Feasibility Advice from Avison Young’s Hotel Consultancy team.

The hotel is conveniently located for transient business along the M5 motorway, as well as the ground works for the UK’s future new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point. The hotel features the latest Holiday Inn Express designed bedrooms as wells as a large bar and restaurant and two meeting rooms. The hotel is now the largest in Bridgwater and is managed by RBH.

Zeal Projects is a specialist Project Management & Cost Consultancy service to the hospitality industry with particular emphasis on the new build, refurbishment & rebranding of hotels and aparthotels.

Tim Wheeldon, Zeal Hotel’s Managing Director, said: “We are thrilled to open this hotel and provide some much-needed accommodation for the area. This new Holiday Inn Express ‘Generation 4’ hotel provides quality up-to-date facilities aimed at both the business and leisure markets at a competitive price”.

“Avison Young provided us with valuable market knowledge at the outset and the detailed Feasibility Report enabled us to proceed further with our development proposals. The hotel was built to Holiday Inn Express Group’s Generation 4 specifications and the team used innovative construction techniques and a highly-efficient form of offsite and modular construction to deliver a high-quality finish in a considerably shorter build time”.

Avison Young were delighted to be involved with the project from the start and wish Tim and the team all the best for the future.
