The property is located in a small hamlet known as Queen Street which comprises a spread out, small settlement located along Queen Street, a minor road. The larger centre of Paddock Wood lies about 1 mile to the west of the property and has a population of about 8,253 people (source: 2011 Census). Paddock Wood has a good selection of local shops and a Waitrose Supermarket together with service outlets. It is also known as the centre of hop growing Kent.
