Andrew Whitehead MRICS is a Chartered Surveyor specialising in Tenant Representation across EMEA and APAC regions, with a proven ability to navigate complex global markets and deliver strategic, data-driven property solutions. With a strong foundation in commercial real estate, having joined Avison Young on the Graduate Scheme in 2022, Andrew is a core team member delivering solutions for client commercial portfolios across diverse international markets. Andrew has experience in lease negotiation, site acquisition, and risk-managed transaction processes.

Andrew plays a key role in managing global portfolios for high-profile clients in the technology and medical sectors. His work in 2024 alone spanned 25 countries, showcasing both agility and a global mindset. He brings an understanding of market dynamics, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement to the table, complemented by practical expertise in valuation, market intelligence, and compulsory purchase processes from earlier rotational roles within the Graduate Scheme.

Outside of client work, Andrew is a respected voice in the property sector. He is a founding contributor to The Green Chronicle and previously served as Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Student Property Monthly, which had an audience of over 60,000, providing insights to students during the pandemic. Andrew is actively involved in mentoring and training future talent, assisting in running APC sessions at Avison Young and a mentor within the Oxford Brookes Real Estate Management Society. His voluntary committee work, ranging from RICS Matrics London to alumni engagement at the Old Ipswichian Club, demonstrates a well-rounded commitment to leadership, inclusion, and community impact within and beyond the real estate industry.

Outside of work Andrew enjoys travelling with friends and family, running and golf and following Ipswich Town Football Club.
