Helen is an Associate Director within the Yorkshire and North-East Business Rates Team. She has extensive experience of valuing a wide variety of property assets and portfolios. Helen specialises in advising public sector clients including NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, Fire and Ambulance. This work encompasses standard office, warehouse and retail properties as well as specialised property classes such as civic buildings, law courts, health centres, fire stations and ambulance depots.

Helen provides strategic advice on rate mitigation strategies, reliefs, budgeting and account auditing. She has extensive knowledge of the business rates system including the Check, Challenge, Appeal process, relief applications, exemptions and audit opportunities. She takes a partnership approach to working with clients in order to realise significant cost savings which can be reinvested into frontline operations and services.

Helen is also an assessor and supervisor for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
