Avison Young appoints former CBRE living sector head Jason Hardman as Principal and Managing Director, Valuation

London, 4 November 2026: Global commercial real estate advisor Avison Young today announces the appointment of Jason Hardman as Head of Valuations, UK. His arrival forms part of the firm’s continued investment in the expansion of its UK business through senior-led hires and team lift-outs.

Jason will lead Avison Young’s UK valuations division, advising clients across lending, investment and development, while continuing his work on professional standards at a number of leading industry bodies.

Jason joins from CBRE, where he spent 20 years, and brings, technical expertise, a proven track record of building successful teams, as well as strong relationships with lenders and investors, particularly in the build-to-rent and wider living sectors. Most recently he was CBRE’s Head of the UK Living Sector, having previously led its loan advisory valuation business and, for several years, its living sector valuation team, which he grew to more than 70 people.

Jason also plays a key role in setting industry standards, including being on the Governing Council of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, where he will continue to hold the valuation seat until the end of 2027, and having been the technical author of the RICS Red Book professional standard on valuing built-to-rent.
