Background
Health Innovation Neighbourhood is a 28-acre mixed-use regeneration project on the former Newcastle General Hospital site, delivered through a joint venture between Newcastle University and Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd. The scheme combines 315,000 sq ft of research and innovation space, 71,000 sq ft of health services, 235,000 sq ft of employment space, 1,250 homes with a mobility hub, and six acres of public realm - creating a vibrant new quarter for the city.
