Our impact
Avison Young has been instrumental in driving the expansion of Loughborough Science Park beyond the university's main campus. Our team advised on the acquisition of the former Gas Research and Training Centre, a transformational 450,000 sq ft facility set within 120 acres, including negotiating a partial sale and leaseback arrangement with National Grid. We subsequently facilitated additional strategic land purchases and building acquisitions to accommodate the Sports Technology Institute, strengthening Loughborough's position as a global leader in sports innovation. Through our planning expertise, we secured permissions for the next phases of development, establishing the infrastructure necessary to attract leading research organisations and technology companies to the campus.
