About Katie

Katie is a Director in the London Planning Team who has over 15 years’ experience in strategic planning, land promotion and housebuilder-led development across England and Australia. She leads complex strategic land and planning projects for major housebuilders and land promoters, and brings an ability to translate complex planning policy and market conditions into clear, commercially focused advice for clients.

Katie’s work covers the full spectrum of the planning process from site appraisal and promotion, to planning application and appeal work, through to implementation (condition discharge and modifications). She has a proven track record of delivering planning permissions on challenging sites, including those affected by National Landscape designations, Green and Grey Belt designations, nutrient neutrality and Habitat Regulations matters. She is experienced in leading multidisciplinary consultant teams, shaping robust development strategies, and negotiating effectively with local authorities to resolve issues early and maintain momentum.

Katie is also experienced in applications relating to open space, recreation needs, social impact and social infrastructure assessments, to support planning arguments for planning applications and site promotion. As a result of this expertise, she sits on the Planning and Policy Committee at The Fields in Trust.
