About Penny

Penny is a Director in Avison Young's London Planning team.

She has 20 years' experience in the private sector working for retailers, developers and fund managers. Her experience includes mixed-use town centre redevelopment as well as retail warehouse developments providing advice on development options and longer-term asset management issues.

Penny advises Aldi on their store expansion programme across London and the south-east, responsible for the full planning application process including pre-application advice, preparing, submitting and negotiating with third parties and completing complex retail impact assessments.

Penny has worked on projects across the country and has a good track record of working with local authorities to achieve a positive result. She has rationalised some of the most significant retail schemes to be brought forward in London over the past decade to the satisfaction of both the relevant local authorities and the GLA.
